We are fortunate to have the dedicated use of  private lands on which to present our Clan's programs. These grounds are considered very special to the Clan of the Hawk. It is a very spiritual location with its own welcome cabin, medicine wheel,  labyrinth, non-denominational chapel and a new, rapidly growing museum. The energy level here is very high.

People from all walks of life are welcome here.  Visitors have shared with us that they find the grounds peaceful and relaxing, meditative and contemplative. We have held many spiritual ceremonies here including naming ceremonies, weddings and funerals. We have frequent pot luck suppers and simple friend-gatherings.

<-- Left is our "Welcome House" and the main building on the Clan Grounds. We hold meetings  here in inclement weather and it is the hub building for the Pow Wow and Craft Show, as well as the many weddings, ceremonies, and educational functions we host.

To the right is our non-denominational Chapel, also built by volunteers. We hold many gatherings here too, with folks of all ages. During our Pow Wow we use it for our annual book sale, and sometimes we use it for a classroom for groups too large for the welcome house. We have also used it for weddings and naming ceremonies.

Hi! I'm Billy Bulletin! When you see me- stop a minute for the good news I have to tell you.

After a long winter of recipe gathering in 2007, the first volume of NATIVE AMERICAN RECIPES  'rolled off the presses' ...and sold out!! Don't worry, we had the second, (and to date, the third and fourth) run done, just for you. Still haven't gotten yours yet? You can get your copy by calling the Chief, or sending a note with a check. Click here for the page with the order information.

Tidbits we thought you might be interested in:
The Clan's wonderful group of volunteers built a Museum  on the grounds to house our interesting and diverse museum collection. Many examples of Native American tools, baskets, crafts. This is not a stagnant display, as new articles are added all the time. The inventory is in process of being cataloged and copies of the museum's holdings will be available soon.

We have a large Thrift Store on the grounds - and now a year round 'outlet' in Orleans -  which has a dazzling array of used, antique and collectible items. Books, tools, furniture, housewares, computers. Free Clothes to ANY Needy Family.

Our Native American Craft Shop is a one of a kind for this area, featuring finshed beadwork, leather work, walking sticks, dream catchers, leather and beading supplies for craft workers and much, much more. Open all summer, later by appointment. It too now has a new nook year round at Feather's Discount in Orleans, VT.

With the help of a grant from Vermont Links Organization, the members of the Clan made their own  Drum using two moose hides and a large cedar core.  Many hours went into this, and the Clan is quite proud of it.
